As a Christian organization, Mount Dora Children’s Home emphasizes spiritual training as a vital part of each individual’s life, both children and adults. Our staff, including house parents and social workers, worship alongside single parents and children at local churches each week.
In our residential services for children, house parents’ guide children in devotionals, and Bible study. Prayer to give thanks to God is emphasized at meals. Within the Single Parents Program, single parents are encouraged to grow spiritually and to cultivate a positive spiritual environment at home for their children.
At Mount Dora Christian Academy, students also take Bible classes at all grade levels, participate in daily chapel, and learn to serve others through community service projects.
